Tallgrass
One of the great beauties of the state of Kansas is the prarie grasses that grow along highways and when you’re lucky – in open fields. Prarie grasses smell a little like hay – sweet, salty, and a little woody, all at the same time. The sound of the wind blowing through them is a soft hello. They are full of the subtlest color distinctions of greens and golds and everything in between. They wave in the wind with a softness that beckons you to lay down in them and when you give in to that call, the reward is as cushy as a down comforter. A little closer to the ground — but soft and cushy.
Kansas is where I grew up, as many of you know. And so we are very proud to let you know that THREE-FIFTY will be in the Tallgrass Film Festival. I can smell the grasses right now! October 23-26 is the date and Wichita, Kansas is the place.
