Comedy “Three-Fifty” is a hit on the film festival circuit, European cable, Asian cable and now, in the classroom. Hilarious and meaningful to our times, the mythology of “Three-Fifty” has universal appeal. Though presented as comedy, “Three-Fifty”‘s theme of privacy rights, dishonesty, consequences and redemption stimulate discussions.
“Three-Fifty” and it’s Teacher’s Guide have been chosen by varied instructors. On the security and privacy rights side “Three-Fifty” was chosen by an instructor for a Post-Naval Academy course in surveillance. On the artistic side, a composer chose it to enhance his residency at Maharishi University.
The “Three-Fifty” Teacher’s Guide includes:
A) 1 DVD of “Three-Fifty” (NTSC) Currently available only in English
B) PDF of “Teacher’s Guide” which is ten discussion questions and exercises for use in the classroom. The teacher’s guide was written by Jungian and Terra psychologist Craig Chalquist, MS, PhD.
C) PDF of original stage play
D) PDF of final screenplay/shooting script in English, Spanish or French.

What is this? It looks like our “Three-Fifty” DVD (mailed via US Post office) was attacked by a Land Shark. Somewhere between the post office near my home and the 5 miles the package traveled to get to El Segundo… it was sliced and diced and lost the DVD, but the envelope and packaging made it to the address.
If you buy a DVD of “Three-Fifty” we promise we’ll take the utmost care in shipping it to you – but we can’t guarantee it won’t be confiscated by a land shark. If that happens, just call us, we’ll be sure you get a new DVD. Buying DVDs is easy – just click HERE.
We can also talk about my Anne Frank complex and why “Despite everything, I believe the post office is good at heart.”
More reasons to love the post office are in this article:

Short comedy “Three-Fifty” will be picking up fans all the way in Asia now.
You know we love our distributors, right? Because even in the midst of a world-wide recession, snow storms to rival all snow storms, biblical style floods, thousands of birds falling out of the sky, thousands of fish giving up the good fight, Network Ireland-TV, secured a 2 year Pan Asia television contract for “Three-Fifty”. Nice.
Even nicer? Getting a Facebook message from a USA fan saying she saw “Three-Fifty” on the SYFY channel while she was in Singapore!
Remember, there are lots of places you can meet other people who like short, funny films and keep up with any news on “Three-Fifty”

Lithuania is home of Vilnius Film Festival and this year Vilnius decided to create Vilnius Comedy Film Festival and take the laughs out to the people. “Three-Fifty” will screen in three (3) Lithuania cities in the next few weeks. Which cities? So glad you asked. Here is a map of the cities so you can follow along…
Lithuania has special significance for me (Melinda Augustina) as my first college level acting professor was from Lithuania. He came to America as a young child when his family was fleeing Europe in WWII. His name was Joseph Daubenas. He was TOUGH — we were hopelessy naive. We loved him and realized (somewhat) how lucky we were for him to have chosen to teach in Kansas City for a few years while working on his PhD. He had studied and taught at American Academy of Dramatic Arts and acted and directed in New York for many years working a lot with Harold Clurman and orignating some roles Off-Broadway. In one article Daubenas was called a “Tasmanian Devil” by a reporter who watched him direct a rehearsal in New York City. (Tasmania is pretty far from Lithuania, but it’s still a fun reference.) One of his television roles was as a Mad Scientist — and that he was.
We are honored that “Three-Fifty” will screen in Lithuania and enjoying this great lesson that energy eventually returns from where it came. And so we sign off with the Lithuanian National Anthem and photos of their beautiful country. Thank you, Lithuania. 😉 http://bit.ly/1aERfs
Many of you know that our short comedy “Three-Fifty” was originally conceived as a solar powered project. The idealism at the time was to create a 100% solar film production – ha – an impossible feat in 2006 – especially for a 35mm night shoot. Mission Adjustment: as “sustainable” as possible. We conducted over 8 hours of rehearsal in a solar powered building and on our set used a solar powered marine battery (in a Woody Wagon no less) to recharge batteries, cell phones and the night shoot’s very important coffee urn. Add to this that “Three-Fifty” was originally developed and enjoyed a 6 week run live on stage in a 100% solar powered performing arts complex, and we most likely have the greenest short in town. The technical part of our solar system, the solar panel, transformer and the Woody Wagon were donated to us by ABC Solar. Thanks, ABC!
We applied for our Environmental Media Associaton’s GREEN SEAL and just received our official notice. No matter the size or budget of your production or special event “going green” most likely won’t cost you any money, just a little extra thought and planning on the front end. It costs you nothing to recycle. Deep inside everyone really wants it. So do it! You’ll be thrilled with the results.
So, a big green “THANK YOU” to our producers, writer/director and cast & crew who participated in our recycling on the set and a big “THANK YOU” to our crew members who braved the big solar powered battery in the Woody Wagon to re-charge their batteries, cell phones, etc. We appreciate your courage to step up and be first! We also need to thank our great supporter of the solar perspective, a man who created one of the first 100% solar powered films, filmmaker Jack Bibbo.

Here is the funniest commercial about the festival …ha, ha,ha!!

Remember last year when THREE-FIFTY screened at CineGlobe which is a film festival put together by CERN physicists who screened the films in CineGlobe, a cinema which sits a-top the world’s largest particle accelerator? Remember that??? Welll, it’s ok if you don’t remember, but you will want to know that they’re getting ready to turn that particle accelerator “on”. Article, photos and video footage here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24525554
What is the point of the largest particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider? Quentin King, who does complicated things at CERN and who has become a friend of ours, says it gives physicists an opportunity to study subatomic particles in what will be the closest duplication of the beginning of our universe. A recreation of the moments just after the “big bang” which will be the closest scientists have ever gotten to understanding the beginning of our universe and deeper understanding of the fundamentals that make up our universe.
Read about it and then let us know your thoughts.
We must confess, to have screened THREE-FIFTY atop the world’s largest particle accelerator is dang cool bragging rights.
